At St. Mary’s High School, we believe that every student is different. Each student has different needs and ways he or she learns most effectively. Upon graduation, there are several different types of diplomas a St. Mary’s student can earn. St. Mary’s follows a NYS Regents curriculum, so the two most common types of those diplomas are a Regents Diploma and a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation. By clicking on the links below, you can see what Regents classes need to be completed in order to earn each type of Diploma.
Each St. Mary’s graduate has completed:
Math: 4 years – Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Math Elective
Science: 4 years – Earth Science, Living Environment, Chemistry, Science Elective
English: 4 years – English 9, 10, 11, 12 (AP Literature and AP Language available as alternatives to English 11 and 12)
Social Studies: 4 years – Global 9, Global 10, U.S. History, Participation in Government/Personal Finance
Fine Arts: 1 full credit
21st Century Computing
Health
Language: At least 2 full years
Physical Education/Dance: 4 years
AP Courses offered at St. Mary’s: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, U.S. History, Participation in Government, Spanish, English Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, World History, Statistics, and Calculus
