A studio exploration of 3D art, starting with clay used in ceramics and additive sculpture, followed by subtractive and constructive 3D mediums. Students will select the medium of their choice for a final project. Art history lectures and documentaries germane to the subject and professional 3D artist guest speakers will also be provided.

An examination of basic design elements and principles through the medium of digital photography. Projects are geared to explore individual design considerations. Photoshop will be used specifically to enhance the quality of the photographs taken for these projects. Art history of photography will be studied and professional photographer guest speakers will be provided.

A studio exploration of 2D art concepts through the medium of drawing and painting. Basic drawing and painting techniques, principles, theory and history will be examined, culminating in a mixed media final project combining the two. Documentaries germane to the subject and professional artist guest speakers will be provided.
