St. Mary's High School - Lancer Parent Partnership

Fashion Show Tickets on sale March 10

The Lancer Parent Partnership Fashion Show Committee will meet on Wednesday, March 11, at 6 p.m. in the St. Mary’s High School Library. All are welcome to join the committee and assist with the planning.

This year’s event, “Lights, Camera, Fashion!” will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens Restaurant. Vendors include Silpada, Mary Kay, Jamberry Nails, Miche Bags, Origami Owl, Thirty-One Gifts, and Brothers of Mercy. Stores showcasing their fashions are Millennium, Tuxedo Junction, TJ Maxx, Old Navy, GAP, Rue 21, Chico’s, JP Taylor, and Bridal Chateau.

As the Lancer Parent Partnership’s only fundraiser, the event raises money for student scholarships, as well as parent networking socials and faculty and staff appreciation events.
In addition to the nine departmental scholarships traditionally funded by the Lancer Parent Partnership, two additional scholarships will be awarded to members of the Class of 2015 who exhibit strong leadership and extraordinary community service.

If you are unable to attend the March meeting but would still like to help, please e-mail Sandy Gibson at There are many ways to help, including assisting with the models, decorating, and helping with admissions and raffles the night of the event.
The annual fashion show is a wonderful evening of fun, food, fashions, and fabulous prizes! Tickets are $40 and include admission, a door prize ticket, a four-course dinner, and the show. Tables of 10 are available.

The event will also feature a theme basket raffle, 50/50 split raffle, and a cash bar.
Theme baskets will be on display during the spring musical run March 19-21. Admission tickets and theme basket raffle tickets will be sold prior to each performance and during intermissions.

Tickets are available beginning March 10 through the School Office or may be purchased at one of the school musical performances.

Please invite your friends and family from outside the St. Mary’s community and help us showcase this great event to benefit our students!

Welcome to the
Lancer Parent Partnership Page

Formerly known as the Parent Teacher Guild, the Lancer Parent Partnership focuses on being a resource for parents of students at all grade levels and as a liaison to the SMHS administration and Board of Trustees.

The group will host at least two free social events during the year to give parents an opportunity to meet other parents. Profits from a fashion show fundraiser in the spring will fund scholarships for graduating seniors and pay for teacher appreciation gifts at Christmas and during Teacher Appreciation Week.

St. Mary's opens Parent Lounge

For those parents who find themselves at school, waiting for their student to finish practice or rehearsal, St. Mary’s High School is pleased to announce the creation of the Parent Lounge in the Library.

The Lounge will offer a comfortable seating area where parents will be able to read a paper (The Buffalo News and Wall Street Journal are available) or magazines (several popular titles are available). In addition, parents are invited to bring in their laptops to access the school’s Wi-Fi network.

There will be a bulletin board which will contain information important to parent visitors to the lounge, the Wi-Fi log-in information, and other announcements that may be important to parents.

Please note that the Library will only be open to parents after 3:30 p.m. every day. The door to the Library will be closed but unlocked. Parents are asked to park in the front parking lot (not the circle).

Those who have comments regarding the Parent Lounge are encouraged to contact Mrs. Kranz or Mr. Kidder.
