Formerly known as the Parent Teacher Guild, the Lancer Parent Partnership focuses on being a resource for parents of students at all grade levels and as a liaison to the
SMHS administration and Board of Trustees.
The group will host at least two free social events during the year to give parents an opportunity to meet other parents. Profits from a fashion show fundraiser in the spring will fund scholarships for graduating seniors and pay for teacher appreciation gifts at Christmas and during Teacher Appreciation Week.
St. Mary's opens Parent Lounge
For those parents who find themselves
at school, waiting for their student
to finish practice or rehearsal, St. Mary’s
High School is pleased to announce the
creation of the Parent Lounge in the
Library.
The Lounge will offer a comfortable
seating area where parents will be able to
read a paper (The Buffalo News, USA
Today, and Wall Street Journal are
available) or magazines (several popular
titles are available). In addition, parents
are invited to bring in their laptops to
access the school’s Wi-Fi network.
There will be a bulletin board which
will contain information important to parent
visitors to the lounge, the Wi-Fi log-in
information, and other announcements
that may be important to parents.
Please note that the Library will only
be open to parents after 3:30 p.m. every
day. The door to the Library will be closed
but unlocked. Parents are asked to park
in the front parking lot (not the circle).
Those who have comments regarding
the Parent Lounge are encouraged to
contact Mrs. Kranz or Mr. Kidder.
